Alpine Image Co. is a busy professional photography studio based in Wanaka, a beautiful laidback tourist resort in the South Island of New Zealand, just one hours drive from the international airport in Queenstown.
Wedding and portrait photography
We are the most awarded studio in Wanaka and Queenstown for our wedding and portrait photography.
We love photographing people. Its what we specialize in. We have an excellent team of 4 highly motivated, professional photographers and our passion for wedding and portrait photography is evident in the images we capture – candid, emotional, beautiful, and natural.
We challenge each other, and set our standards high, and have been booked out for our wedding photography every year for the last 8 years. Many couples from around the world book our services up to 3 years in advance.
Commercial photography
We understand the importance of creative-thinking and sticking to briefs, deadlines, and budgets and this commitment is reflected in the number of commissions we have received from well-known international companies right through to the smallest local companies who require images for their websites, brochures and magazine advertizing. Every job is equally important to us.
Much of the work we gain is through recommendation and repeat client work and we greatly value this aspect of our business.
We have HUNDREDS (THOUSANDS!!!!) more images showcasing our most RECENT WORK on Facebook.

Jen Rayment Anna Allan Miles Allan Nadine Cagney
Jen is our lead photographer. Her bubbly personality, enthusiasm and energy, not to mention her stunning portfolio and award-winning images, meant we would have been silly to let her go when she casually mentioned a few years ago that her dream job would be to join our busy team. Whether shooting weddings on the highest peaks in New Zealand, or designing our gorgeous wedding albums, Jen is infectious with her happy disposition and we are stoked to have someone of her calibre in our team. We honestly feel that she is shooting some of the most beautiful wedding photography in New Zealand. Here is just a taster of the feedback she gets:
"Jen. We absolutely love our photos! Thank you for making our wedding day amazing! You were very sweet and fun person to get to know. I am absolutely smitten with the pictures and our amazing day that I have looked at the pictures everyday and can't stop looking at them. They are all so wonderful! :) I am so happy that you and the Alpine Image Co. were our photographer! It is hard to plan a wedding from the USA because of the unknown factors, however, we were beyond pleased and blessed with our day. These are pictures we will be proud to share with our future children and more generations down. Thank you! Words cannot express how thankful and blessed we are! Thank you so very much!" Anna has worked internationally as a photographer since gaining a B.A (Hons) degree in photography in London over 20 years ago. She is well-known and respected in the photography industry and has won multiple awards for her wedding and portrait photography. She has an impressive collection of photographic work held in both public and private collections around the world. One of her first commissions was from the Museum of London who asked her to document the huge variety of people who call London their home. Anna worked on the vast project over a period of 2 years and it remains one of her favourite bodies of work. The resulting images were exhibited at the Museum and are now stored in the Museum archives for historical reference. She also has a large collection of images photographed in Belfast during the troubled 80s - the political-graffiti-covered walls, the IRA fighters, the street kids, and day-to-day lives of those affected by the fighting. Another body of work that she treasures is her collection of hundreds of photos of punks taken in London in the Eighties. She returned to London recently to photograph the punks who she originally shot for the Museum of London archives over 20 years ago. While in London Anna also photographed a series of the new generation of punks and the resulting body of work saw her winning more awards for these images.
Seeing how quickly the town of Wanaka was changing, Anna used her photo-journalism experience from London to document Wanaka at the turn of the Millennium. The exhibition of photos attracted hundreds of visitors, and after the exhibition, she gifted the entire collection to the town so that future generations would be able to get a glimpse of the town as it used to be. Over half the images were later bought by a New Zealand collector.
Miles specializes in wedding and sports photography. He has been shooting weddings for over 10 years with most weddings in Central Otago so he is familiar with all the best locations to use as backdrops to create stunning images on your wedding day. A recent email from one of his clients: " Just a very quick note to tell you how absolutely thrilled Scotty and I are with the wedding photos! I can't believe how quickly they arrived, and the quality is second to none. I am particularly impressed that there is not a bad photo in the bunch...all of the pictures capture how happy everyone was on the day, and they certainly showcase the amazing Queenstown scenery! Miles, thanks so much for doing such a fabuolus job, everyone has been asking who our photographer was so I have of course been waxing poetical about you! Thanks so much again guys, you made our special day one that will be remembered for ever!" Justine and Scott
Miles's work has been published in national newspapers as well as national magazines and wedding magazines. His ski and snowboard photography has been widely published and used by sponsors and ski retail outlets.
